Silent Voices, Still...But Faith...Lifting Up the Voices of the Daughters of Hagar in 'Faith, Sexism, and Justice: A Call to Action'
Abstract
Beverly Wallace responds to the social statement by asking ELCA Lutherans to deepen their commitment to justice by hearing the perspectives of women of color—especially the work of womanist theologians. Wallace demonstrates that it is essential to invoke black women’s stories and memories to advance the work of the social statement, deepen its call for action, and empower the theology of hope presented in “Faith, Sexism, and Justice: A Call for Action.â€
