Abstract

Jessica Crist reflects on the significance of the ELCA’s making a commitment to stand against sexism and patriarchy. The social statement "Faith, Sexism, and Justice: A Call to Action" matters because it is our church’s declaration that patriarchy is no more acceptable in society than it is in the church and that we as Christians can do something about it.
