Abstract

This article casts a queer of color gaze at Matthew 25:31–46, challenging readers to see “the least of these” at the intersection of race, gender, sexuality, class, and religion. Drawing from black feminist theory, queer of color critique, and Matthew’s gospel, the article argues for solidarity rather than charity and for visibility as a sacred, political act. Through a queer christological optic, it affirms that divine authority is vested in collective human action to dismantle oppressive systems. Seeing Jesus among the marginalized demands radical discipleship, mutual aid, and hope for queer futurity where all can flourish.
