Re-envisioning Luther's Christological Hermeneutic
Abstract
The Reformation changed the world in significant ways. Now, 500 years later, it is appropriate to ask what Luther and the Reformation can offer to a post-Christendom society influenced by individualism, factionalism, social passivity among some Lutherans, and moral therapeutic deism. This paper proposes that an expanded view of Luther’s christological hermeneutical lens allows the gospel to be heard with clarity and addresses the current context in the United States.Downloads
