Texts and Contexts: A Personal Reflection on Formation for and by the Lutheran-Roman Catholic Dialogue, U.S.A.
Abstract
Winston Persaud offers personal and biographical reflections based on his lengthy involvement as a member of Lutheran-Roman Catholic Dialogue, U.S.A. Interpretation of Scripture, creeds, tradition/traditions, ecclesial history, and the wider-world history were noticeably affected by the interpretative influence of the personal biography of the participants. In their ongoing work, the Dialog representatives kept ever before themselves Jesus’ prayer in John 17 for the sake of the unity of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church, whose unity is intrinsic to the integrity and truth of the church’s mission in the Gospel, in a world in need of healing and wholeness.Downloads
